What is it that makes the Oregon Coast such a special place? Certainly, part of what is so special about the Cannon Beach area are the dramatic rock formations and stunning vistas up and down the Coastline. There are places, like Cannon Beach’s iconic Haystack Rock and the Tillamook Head that are forever etched in our hearts and minds. Combined, that’s enough to earn Cannon Beach a place on the National Geographic’s 2013 list of “The World’s 100 Most Beautiful Places.” We may not be able to pick one single outstanding reason why the Oregon Coast is such a special place, but we can certainly start to etch out the beginnings to what will surely be an extraordinary vacation. Book your room at our beach side retreat, and decide for yourself what it is that is so special about summertime on the Oregon Coast.

The beach, the beach, the beach…there is no place more relaxing, rejuvenating and romantic than an Oregon coast get-away for the special person that we call ‘Mom’.
This year we are hosting a very casual Mother’s Day Weekend, where our entire staff will be waiting to create a wonderful weekend experience, complete with a beautiful brunch presentation each morning and a Wine and Cider Appetizer Hour every afternoon.
Let us do the work, while Mom can rest and enjoy being waited on hand and foot for the entire weekend.
Can’t think of that last minute gift?
Surely, a special stay at our Castle on the Coast will make any Mom feel like the Queen she is!

The Thursday Night Throwdown is the opening event for the weekend. Participants taste twelve wines (two of each varietal) and choose their favorites. The Battle of the Blends features four red and four white wine blends from the Northwest.
What’s That Varietal? is a blind tasting, a fun challenge that also educates participants to identify the varietals. There will also be a seminar on pairing food and wine.

Surrounded by coastal state parks, Arch Cape Inn provides a European atmosphere of narrow drives, a lamp lit cafe, and a French hotel where Couples still stroll arm and arm with one another…celebrating l’amour.
Arch Cape Inn has brought historic romance back to life on the Oregon Coast. Our refurbished castle-like property presents a movie-set lodging and dining experience within the atmosphere of an 18th Century French Chateau.
And the nearby town of Cannon Beach, host to multiple artist events, is a small coastal artists’ village that hasn’t been ruined by the glare of hurried development. The romantic coastal setting on the shores of the pristine Pacific Ocean, and the soft spoken aura and tasteful ambiance subtlety encourages love.
Get away from it all for a least a night or two. Open a bottle of wine and listen to the sounds of winter on the Oregon Coast; Let the tranquil settings of the Arch Cape Inn Inn and the exhilaration of the Pacific Ocean purge the stress of everyday life.
Deliberately small, naturally quiet. Come make a treasured winter memory. Arch Cape Inn & Retreat, an Oasis of Art, Nature, Romance and Exquisite Food and Wine.
Arch Cape Inn and Retreat is in the process of changing its mission statement and daily living activities in order to become eligible for green certification. A particular emphasis for us focuses on protecting and preserving the water quality of our local area.
In an effort to keep our water clean, water that surrounds us everywhere, we are making changes in our habits. One such change that is easy to do is to use ordinary vinegar in a spray bottle as a surface cleaning agent.
Click here for more information on water, climate and community on the North Oregon Coast.
As a part of a retreat event, portions of the proceeds will be donated to the North Coast Land Conservancy. This commitment makes your travel dollar worth much more.
